2018 Playoff Format

NOVICE GIRLS (6 teams) / BANTAM BOYS ( 6 teams)

  • START WEEK OF JULY 23/18 (5 weeks)

  • Pre- playoff points are reduced/increased to

                      1st place – 6 pts

                      2nd place – 5 pts

                      3rd place – 4 pts

                      4th place- 3 pts

                      5th place- 3 pts

                      6th place- 3 pts

  • Each team plays every other team once during the playoffs

          Points

  • Teams are awarded 4 pts for a win

  • Teams are deducted 4 pts for a loss

  • Both teams are deducted a point for a tie

  • Playoff points are added to the pre-playoff points

  • The two teams with the most points (pre-playoff and playoff) will compete for the Divisional Championship on Banquet Day.

  • In the event of tie for points in determining the Championship Teams- a head to head- full Championship Match Rules game will be scheduled prior to the Championship game on Banquet Day to determine a winner

  • No team will be allowed to drop into negative points

  • Any “artificial” boosting of a teams points (to bring them out of negative points)cannot be used towards winning the Championship

    BANTAM GIRLS/ (4 teams)

  • START WEEK OF JULY 19/18 (6 weeks)

  • Pre- playoff points are reduced/increased to

                      1st place – 6 pts

                      2nd place – 5 pts

                      3rd place – 4 pts

                      4th place- 3 pts

                     

  • Each team plays every other team twice during the playoffs

          Points

  • Teams are awarded 4 pts for a win

  • Teams are deducted 4 pts for a loss

  • Both teams are deducted a point for a tie

  • Playoff points are added to the pre-playoff points

  • The two teams with the most points (pre-playoff and playoff) will compete for the Divisional Championship on Banquet Day.

  • Teams will be divided into two Groups (A and B)

  • “A Group”

  • Teams that are 1st, 4th, 5th, 7th, 9th, 11th , 13th in pre-playoff points will make up the A Group

  • “B Group”

  • Teams that are 2nd, 3rd, 6th, 8th, 10th, 12th , 14th, in pre-playoff points will make up the B Group

  • Pre- playoff points are reduced/increased to in both the A and B Groups

                      1st place – 6 pts

                      2nd place – 5 pts

                      3rd place – 4 pts

                      4th place- 3 pts

                      5th place- 3 pts

                      6th place- 3 pts

                      7th place- 3 pts

  • Each team plays every team in the other group once during the playoffs

  • Teams accumulate or loose points in their respective Groups
